About the Role
As a Project Manager Intern, you will:
- Establish and promote project management concepts, methodologies, and best practices
- Develop strong relationships and communications with direct stakeholders and other business leaders throughout project lifecycles to achieve company goals and objectives
- Negotiate difficult situations skillfully with both internal and external groups
- Periodically review key projects to confirm status, recommend corrective actions, and facilitate decision-making as needed
- Conduct lessons-learned reviews of key projects
- Ensure management and key stakeholders are well informed of project progress, status, and issues on a timely basis
- Identify key risks and issues as well as mitigation alternatives and plans
- Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and stored appropriately
- Learn quickly and work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Conduct research, evaluate metrics, and proactively make recommendations to improve the company’s project delivery and success rate
- Deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that requires the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public
This a fully remote, 5-10 hours per week UNPAID INTERNSHIP
Internships last 3 months and may be renewed at the end of the term
For high school students, we provide community service hours upon your school's approval
For college students, we provide college credit upon your school's approval
For aspiring entrepreneurs, we provide professional development (business consulting/mentorship)
Requirements
Availability to work for 12 consecutive weeks (3 months) at a time
Legally authorized to work in the US and should not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
Multi-tasking with good organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle potentially confrontational situations with patience, diplomacy, and tact
Strong leadership and change management skills
Strong writing and project planning skills
Proven strong decision-making skills
Ability to produce accurate work under pressure with frequent deadlines
Ability to document requirements and processes
Excellent time-management skills
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides, Drive)
Project Management software (ie. ClickUp, Trello, Asana), techniques, and tools experience is a plus
An interest in entrepreneurship and/or social media is a plus
Graphic design and/or video editing experience or interest is a plus
